Bio
Ms. Johnson sits on the firm’s management committee and focuses her practice on representing mortgage lenders in commercial real estate financing transactions under various programs, including loans to be purchased by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. She has experience in representing lenders in market rate and affordable housing financing, manufactured housing, acquisition financing, student housing and existing project refinancing utilizing multiple types of financing structures. Her extensive affordable experience involves transactions including those with multi-layered soft and hard subordinate debt, HAP Contracts, PILOTs and other tax exemptions that require creation of ground leases with affordability restrictions and/or issuance of municipal taxable bonds, preservation deals, Tax Increment Financing, and Historic Tax Credit Master Lease transactions. Ms. Johnson also represents clients in connection with structuring and drafting their loan commitments and providing counsel on various servicing and asset management related issues.
